The Agfa Pioneer is little more than a toy, box camera with a simple one element lens and shutter release.

There isn’t much fancy about this camera at all, which is what I like about it. It has one aperture size and two possible shutter speeds: instant or bulb. This is really not much more than a box camera, and it’s a lot of fun.

This particular camera is sized for “616” size film, which is larger than 120/620 film. I have a 3d printed adapter which allows 120 film to be fitted into it. The result of the smaller film in a larger camera is that light bounces around everywhere, landing in all sorts of interesting places on the film, which leads to some really fun effects. This is a great little camera that I really enjoy using.
