Modern digital cameras are all about the mega pixels, and the sensor size, and the ISO sensitivity to light. Focal length and focal distance and bokeh are all also common catchphrases. Even the back side of modern mobile phones have two, three, or more camera lenses on them.

Everyone is clamouring for the newest and latest, as if having the most modern photography equipment will miraculously make them a National Geographic level photographer.

Certainly, good equipment can make great photographers even better, but there have been great photographs taken since the dawn of photography. *Crappy Camera Photos* is an effort to return to the basics of photography and create good photos with basic digital equipment of 2 mega pixels or less. Regardless of the sensor, photography is still all about light.
